Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before confirming your participation in the Hawai’i Medical Cannabis Day Event:

    1. Parties Involved: This agreement is between the Hawaii Patients Union, its affiliates, members, volunteers, and any other entities or individuals who are officially associated with or acting on behalf of the Hawaii Patients Union for the purpose of organizing and conducting the Hawai’i Medical Cannabis Day on June 14th, 2023 (collectively referred to as “Management”) and you (hereafter referred to as “Participant”).

    2. Content Responsibility and Grant of Rights: You represent and warrant that you are the sole author of any content you present during the Event, and have secured all necessary rights for any third-party materials included in your presentation. You hereby grant Management the right to record, reproduce, distribute, and broadcast your presentation and accompanying materials, worldwide, in perpetuity. Management reserves the right to review, edit, and approve all presentations and associated materials prior to the Event.

    3. Content Guidelines: You acknowledge and agree not to present any defamatory, slanderous, libelous, infringing, or otherwise unlawful material during the Event. You are solely responsible for your content and must ensure it does not infringe upon the rights of others, violate any laws, or result in potential defamation claims.

    4. Dispute Resolution: Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Agreement will be referred to and resolved by arbitration administered by the Ku’ikahi Mediation Center, located in Hilo, Hawaiʻi.

    5. Limitation of Liability: Under no circumstances shall Management be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the Event or this Agreement.

    6. Indemnification: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Management from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses arising from the content of your presentation or your actions in relation to the Event.

    7. Governing Law: This Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Hawaiʻi. Any dispute arising from or related to this Agreement that is not settled in arbitration shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Hawaiʻi.
